AKC CANINE GOOD CITIZEN
The CGC Test is an award that is earned through the passage of the CGC
pass/fail examination. This test is used to determine the behavior of a
dog under a certain set of circumstances. Passage of this test is not a
title, it is an award, acknowledging the successful completion of the test and
that the canine recipient is considered a "Canine Good Citizen."
Many dog therapy groups use this examination as their initial testing process,
prior to admission into a therapy dog program.
|
|
This 4-week class is designed for any dog over the age of 6 months that
would be taking the Canine Good Citizen Test.
While taking this class does not guarantee a passing
score in the CGC examination, it does prepare the owner and the dog for all the testing items
that are on the test. After completion of the class, the test will be
scheduled and is administered at NVAC with a registered AKC CGC Evaluator.
The cost of taking the examination is included in the class fee. |

shake, roll over, and jump (plus many others). Basic skills
